Occupational Therapy (OT) helps children develop the skills they need for everyday life, including play, self-care, learning, emotional regulation, movement, and participation at home, school, and in the community. At Little Roots, OT is child-centred, play-based, and evidence-informed, focusing on meaningful, real-life activities that support independence and confidence in daily routines.

OT can support children with or without a formal diagnosis, including those experiencing challenges with fine or gross motor skills, sensory processing, feeding and mealtimes, attention and focus, emotional regulation, self-care, handwriting, school participation, sleep, or social interaction. Therapy is individualized to each child’s strengths and goals, with practical strategies that carry over into everyday environments. No referral is required.
